In a remarkable rescue operation in China's flood-hit Guangxi region, a youth stranded on a rooftop surrounded by raging waters was airlifted to safety by a heavy-lift drone — all in under a minute.
The dramatic video of the rescue has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread amazement.
According to Chinese media, the drone used in the operation was capable of lifting up to 100 kilograms.
It was deployed in the wake of devastating floods caused by torrential rains across southern China, which brought 13 major rivers to dangerous levels in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Hainan provinces.
