A man miraculously escaped death after being denied boarding an ill-fated Brazilian passenger plane that crashed on Saturday. The devastating incident killed all 61 on board, including the crew members.
The lucky survivor, Adriano Assis, who is a resident of Rio de Janeiro, told the local media that he argued with the airline staff when they refused to let him board the ill-fated flight for being late.
A Voepass Airlines flight en route from Cascavel to Guarulhos suffered a catastrophic crash in a residential area of São Paulo city.
The plane was scheduled to carry 58 passengers, but only 57 boarded. One passenger, Assis, missed the flight.
Upon learning of the tragic plane crash, Assis returned to the airline employee and hugged him, and expressed gratitude for saving his life.
“I hug him because he’s done his job. If he hadn’t done his job maybe I wouldn’t be doing this interview today,” the tear-eyed lucky man said.
