Man marries 45-year-old mother-in-law after wife's death

Following the death of his wife, a man got married to his mother-in-law with the consent of his father-in-law.

According to Indian media, the bizarre incident took place in Bihar's Banka a month ago.

The unusual union came about after Sikandar Yadav's wife passed away, and he moved in with his in-laws in Hira Moti village along with his two children.

During his stay, Sikandar developed feelings for his 45-year-old mother-in-law, Geeta Devi, and they entered into a "secret relationship".

When Geeta's husband, 55-year-old Dileshwar Darve, discovered their affair, he took the matter to the local panchayat to seek a solution. 

The panchayat decided to let Sikandar and Geeta get married, and surprisingly Darve agreed to the decision.

However, Geeta's ex-husband expressed his unhappiness but acknowledged that the couple's love for "each other is genuine".
