A donkey, named Shah Rukh Khan, was declared victorious in a beauty pageant held in a Morocco village.
The 13th edition of the festival, Festibaz, was organised in Morocco’s Ammar Zerhoun village, aiming to pamper the donkeys who do hard work throughout the year.
Shah Rukh Khan, the winning donkey, was one of seven animals enrolled for the beauty pageant and race.
At the commencement of the festival, the owners of the participants paraded with their animals before the committee.
Reward winner Shah Rukh Khan came here with a flower band placed on top of its heads and impressed the spectators and judges.
Donkey’s behaviour towards owners and others impressed judges, and it gained the reward for winning the pageant, a 50-kilogram (110 pounds) bag of barley.
“I take care of it, and don’t neglect him because it assists me, takes me everywhere I want to go,” said the owner of donkey Amine Yaala.
Mohammad Azzouzo, a villager, noted that donkeys are an asset for their owner because these are necessary for them, and could take the owners to mountain areas where tractors couldn’t run.
