Several employees were dismissed from their positions after it was discovered that they had been deceiving their company with fake keyboard activity.

The incident took place at the American bank Wells Fargo, where numerous employees were found to be falsifying keyboard activity to create the illusion of productivity, according to a report by a US media outlet.

While it remains unclear whether the terminated employees were working remotely or from the office, the bank stated that the staff had been dismissed following an investigation into allegations of simulated keyboard activity intended to give the appearance of active work.

A company spokeswoman emphasized, “Wells Fargo holds employees to the highest standards and does not tolerate unethical behavior.”

It is worth noting that the United States recently implemented new regulations requiring brokers working from home to be monitored every three hours.

Reports indicate that devices designed to mimic computer mouse activity, often referred to as mouse movers or mouse jigglers, are readily available on Amazon for under $10.

These gadgets and software programs are specifically designed to prevent computers from entering sleep mode by simulating mouse movements.
