A 30-year-old woman from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, lodged a police complaint against her husband for allegedly limiting her use of Instagram and blocking her.

According to local media, the woman, identified as Nisha, accused her husband, Vijendra, of attempting to restrict her time on social media and urging her to focus more on household responsibilities.

Nisha claimed that her husband's demand was "unreasonable" and had negatively affected her online presence — a routine she says is central to her life.

Nisha, who regularly posted at least two reels daily, alleged that her husband’s interference, including possibly blocking her account, made it "almost impossible" to maintain her profile.

She became particularly distraught after noticing a drop in her follower count by two users.

Reportedly upset by the situation, Nisha left her in-laws’ residence and returned to her parental home.

From there, she visited the local police station and filed an official complaint, citing emotional distress and disruption to her digital freedom.
