Woman gives birth to sextuplets in Rawalpindi

A woman gave birth to sextuplets at a District Headquarters hospital in Rawalpindi, Dialogue Pakistan reported on Friday.

According to hospital officials, a woman, identified as Mrs Waheed, gave birth to four boys and two girls in the medical facility.

The operation was conducted successfully and the mother and her children are fine, said hospital administration.

The officials stated that the newborns were shifted to the Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) under special care.

It is important to note that a natural conception of sextuplets is extremely rare and the delivery in such cases is usually very complicated.
