Gold drops by Rs1,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices recorded a decrease in Pakistan on Saturday following a decline in international bullion rates.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold in the local market dropped by Rs1,000 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs431,236.

The price of 10 grams of gold also went down by Rs730 and was recorded at Rs369,715.

Earlier this week, on June 23, gold prices had seen a sharper fall of Rs10,400 per tola, settling at Rs432,236.

In the global market, gold lost $10 per ounce, taking the international price to $4,088 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Silver prices also followed the downward trend, with the rate falling by Rs271 to Rs6,393 per tola in the local market.
