Manghopir house robbery victim’s family continues protest with coffin

Relatives of a teenage boy, who was killed in firing during a robbery at his house in Karachi’s Manghopir area, continued their sit-in outside the Manghopir police station for the fourth consecutive day on Friday.

17-year-old Roshan Husain's family and local residents have been holding a protest outside the police station with the victim's body, demanding the arrest of those involved in the killing.

The protesters said that they would not end the sit-in until the suspects responsible for the incident are arrested.

Rosham’s father Roidad Husain said that Friday prayers would also be offered at the protest site. He said the family would not bury his son until justice was served, adding that they wanted the killers arrested at all costs.

Roshan was killed in firing by robbers during a house robbery near Ijtema Gah in Mehran City, Block 6, Manghopir, on the night between September 7 and 8. The boy had recently completed his matriculation and was a position holder, according to his family.
