Gold prices in Pakistan posted a modest increase on Tuesday, continuing their upward trend in line with international market movements.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs300 to reach Rs342,800 per tola in the local market. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs257, closing at Rs293,895.

This follows a significant jump on Monday when the price per tola surged by Rs4,000, settling at Rs342,500.

Globally, gold prices saw a slight uptick on Tuesday. The international price reached $3,244 per ounce, marking a gain of $3 from the previous day, with a premium of $20 included, as reported by the APGJSA.

Silver prices, meanwhile, remained unchanged. The rate stood at Rs3,410 per tola in the domestic market.

The steady increase in gold rates is reflective of broader global economic trends, including investor movement toward safe-haven assets amid ongoing geopolitical and financial uncertainties. Analysts continue to monitor fluctuations in international bullion markets as they impact local pricing dynamics.
