Gold prices rise by Rs2,200 per tola in Pakistan

Gold rates in Pakistan went up on Thursday after an upward trend in the global bullion market.
In the domestic market, the price of gold rose by Rs2,200 per tola, taking the rate to Rs455,762.
The price of 10 grams of gold also registered an increase of Rs1,800 and was recorded at Rs390,742, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
A day earlier, gold had already seen a sharp rise, with the per tola rate climbing by Rs2,700 to settle at Rs453,562 in local trading.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $22, pushing the rate to $4,334 per ounce.
Silver prices also edged up in the local market. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs78 and was recorded at Rs6,900.
