Gold prices in Pakistan and global markets continued their upward trajectory on Tuesday, marking the second consecutive day of significant gains.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs6,100 per tola, reaching Rs356,100. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs5,232 to Rs305,300.

In the international market, gold climbed by $61 per ounce, with the price reaching $3,377 per ounce. Spot gold rose 1.2% to $3,372.01 an ounce after hitting its highest level since April 22 earlier in the trading session.

Other precious metals followed suit, with spot silver increasing 1.3% to $32.92 an ounce. Platinum gained 1.7%, reaching $975.75 per ounce, while palladium rose 0.8% to $948.

Domestically, silver prices also registered gains. The rate of one tola of silver increased by Rs57 to Rs3,482, while the price for 10 grams rose by Rs22 to Rs2,985.

The surge in gold prices reflects strong investor interest amid global economic uncertainty and a continued rally in precious metals markets.
