Petrol price slashed by Rs7.54, diesel up Rs1.48 per litre for next fortnight

The federal government on Thursday announced revised prices of petroleum products for the next 15 days.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs7.54 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs264.61 per litre.
Conversely, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs1.48 per litre, setting the new price at Rs285.83 per litre.
In the last fortnightly review, the government had increased the petrol price by Rs5.36 per litre to Rs272.15, and diesel by Rs11.37 per litre to Rs284.35.
The revised prices have come into effect immediately and will remain applicable for the next fortnight, as part of the government’s routine price review based on international oil trends and exchange rate fluctuations.
