'Choice of words was inappropriate': Saba Faisal clarifies remarks about controlling daughter-in-law

Renowned actress Saba Faisal addressed the backlash and responded calmly to the criticism. Her remarks came after she witnessed widespread criticism on how to control your daughter-in-law.

In a video, Saba Faisal clarified what she actually meant. She admitted that her choice of words was inappropriate and she should have said “dar guzar” instead of “goonga behra”, and emphasized that both parties should compromise and ignore things.

Regarding her statement about daughters-in-law wearing clothes chosen by in-laws, she said, “When you merge into a family, your in-laws naturally want you to adapt their way of living.

She further added, “I don't see any wrong with a daughter-in-law adopting the clothes and way of living of in-laws. Regardless of whatever her lifestyle was since she was born, people like me will always prefer that she embrace the family’s way of living. Every woman wants to see the reflection of her family in her daughter-in-law. This does not mean that I am saying you should impose everything on your daughter-in-law.”
