We experience a change in our daily routine throughout Ramadan. Try to ensure that our routines and health are going side by side without any difficulty.
Consider the following tips to keep our health intact and form a discipline in our lives to cleanse our bodies and mind during the month of Ramazan.
Break your fast with dates
A quick sugar fix is all you need after long hours of fasting. Dates are a great source of fiber and sugar, which not only provide you with an immediate energy boost but also help in avoiding constipation.
Eat nutritious food
Ensure your meals have plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and protein.
Eat enough in Sehri to provide you with sufficient energy for the entire day because if you consume more than is necessary, it will later become heavy and may result in indigestion.
Try to avoid eating fried or processed food at Iftar because it will disturb your digestion after long hours of fasting.
Avoid caffeine and Fizzy drinks
There are some edibles which make us thirsty. Avoid excessive consumption of caffeine and fizzy drinks which dehydrate you quickly and provide no nutritional value.
Stay hydrated
Make sure you’re drinking enough water to keep your body hydrated. Eight to ten glasses of water should be consumed between Iftar and Sehri.
Foods such as watermelon, cucumber, oranges and tomatoes will also help keep you hydrated with their high water content.
Fix your sleeping schedule
It’s also important to get enough sleep if you want to spend your days productively and healthily.
Try going to bed early in order to wake up fresh at Sehri. Make sure to get at least seven hours of sleep. Quick naps in between prayers might also keep you energised all day.
