Renowned American rapper Macklemore released a second anthem for Gaza titled "Hind’s Hall 2," with all proceeds from the song being donated to the UNRWA to support Palestinians.

The concept behind Macklemore’s Palestinian-themed rap calls for renaming Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall to "Hind’s Hall," in memory of six-year-old Hind Rajab, who was killed along with her family by the Israeli army in Gaza.

In May 2024, Macklemore released his first music video for Palestine, a rap song that gained immense popularity on social media.

"Hind’s Hall 2" features soft melodies and singing, advocating for the liberation of Palestine from Israeli occupation. The video showcases only a single picture of Palestinian children, captured by journalist Motaz Azaiza.

The five-minute song begins with American rapper, Anees Mokhiber singing, "In our lifetime, we will be free, and they can bury us, but they will find out we are seeds."

Mokhiber is later joined by the LA Palestine Kids Choir and the Lifted Youth Gospel Choir.

Macklemore’s verse in the song directly addresses Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, urging her to stop sending weapons to Israel that are used to kill Palestinian children.

"Hey Kamala, I don’t know if you’re listening, but stop sending money and weapons—you ain’t winning Michigan. We are committed, and hell no, we ain’t switching positions, because the whole world turned Palestinian."

Macklemore has been a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights, using his music to raise awareness and contribute to the cause.

He first rose to prominence with his hit songs "Thrift Shop" and "Can’t Hold Us," both produced by Ryan Lewis, which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2013, marking the first time a duo had achieved this since 1999.
