Fahad Mustafa publicly apologises to Atiqa Odho after backlash over remarks

Actor Fahad Mustafa has publicly apologised to senior actress Atiqa Odho after facing backlash over remarks he made during a live episode of Jeeto Pakistan.

The controversy began when a clip from the show went viral on social media, in which Fahad responded to comments Atiqa had made in a recent interview.

The actress suggested that Fahad should consider working with actresses closer to his age. His response, which many viewers interpreted as age-shaming, sparked criticism online.

Addressing the matter on air, Fahad chose to apologise directly. He acknowledged Atiqa’s seniority and standing in the industry, saying, “Atiqa Apa, you are our senior and we love you so much. There is no doubt that you are the most beautiful woman of Pakistan."

Earlier, Atiqa also attempted to defuse the situation through a social media statement. Calling for calm, she wrote, “Fahad is a talented and hardworking professional. He reacted emotionally and I feel sad that public figures can’t say anything light-heartedly without being attacked. If I unintentionally hurt him or anyone else, I apologise. Let’s forgive and forget. We are only human and to err is human.”
