Model and actor Nadia Hussain on Monday apologized for any misunderstanding with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), stating that she had no intention of disrespecting officials.
Speaking to the media outside the FIA office, Hussain clarified that she had provided all necessary information regarding a fraudulent call she received.
Her statement follows the FIA’s initiation of an investigation under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) over alleged false accusations against the agency.
Hussain had previously claimed on Instagram that a man posing as an FIA officer attempted to defraud her. The incident occurred shortly after her husband, Atif Khan, was arrested in a multi-million-rupee financial fraud case.

According to Hussain, the impersonator demanded Rs30 million for her husband’s bail and urged her to keep the matter confidential. She initially believed the caller but later realized it was a scam.
The actor stated she had filed an online complaint with the FIA but was unaware that a written complaint was also required.
She urged authorities to take measures against fraudsters and suggested collaborating on an awareness campaign. Hussain also encouraged the public to report such scams without fear.
