Pakistani actress and producer Hareem Farooq, who recently played a negative role in the popular drama Bismil, has shared a fascinating aspect of her childhood.
In an interview on Nida Yasir's morning show, Hareem revealed that she always dreamed of becoming a princess like Lady Diana.
"I felt like I was a part of the royal family and I only wanted to be a princess," the Janaan said.
"I used to ask my parents about my relationship with the royal family, but they would always tell me to stop having such dreams," she added.
Hareem further shared that when she grew out of her Lady Diana phase, she considered becoming a renowned philanthropist Mother Teresa.
However, according to her, she soon realised that it would require "immense sacrifices", so she "abandoned that idea as well".
Interestingly, the A-lister star never thought of becoming an actress as a child.
"I'm a woman who enjoys life, and I believe that if I don't laugh, I've wasted my day," she said.
"Problems come and go, but it's essential to face them with a smile and gratitude."
Hareem's recent role in Bismil has garnered attention, where she plays the second wife of a wealthy man Nauman Ejaz, alongside Savera Nadeem, who plays the first wife.
