"Her body, her beautiful green dress, her choice:" Mira Sethi defends Hiba Bukhari amid online criticism

Renowned actor Mira Sethi spoke out in support of Hiba Bukhari, who faced online backlash for flaunting her baby bump at the Hum Style Awards red carpet.

Taking to Instagram, Mira Sethi responded to a post that criticised Hiba for showing off her pregnancy in an olive maxi dress.

The Kuch Ankahi actor stated that there is nothing shameful about being pregnant, dressing up confidently, and fulfilling work commitments.

"Her body, her beautiful green dress, her choice," she wrote in her post.

"More power to Hiba Bukhari and all the women who continue to smile and sparkle in the face of provocation," she added. 

Mira emphasised that the unwarranted criticism of women’s clothing choices is often "meant to intimidate" them, hindering their progress and preventing them from succeeding.

Hiba Bukhari recently attended the Hum Awards event in London, adorning a green shimmery gown and proudly flaunting her baby bump, confirming pregnancy rumours after days of speculation on social media.

Following her appearance at the event, the Jaan Nisar actor and her husband, Arez Ahmed, revealed the news to their fans in a YouTube vlog.

The couple shared that they had planned to disclose the joyful news through a maternity photoshoot, but widespread speculation had already made the news public.
