I won't leave property for my kids, I'll focus on their education and values, says Haroon Shahid

Renowned actor Haroon Shahid emphasised the importance of equipping children with essential skills and strong values over providing them with material wealth.

He recently appeared in a morning show on a private TV channel, where he was joined by actor Kamran Jilani.

“I often talk with my wife about how I don’t want to leave any property to our children,” Shahid said, explaining that he doesn’t worry about their future in his absence.

He further elaborated, “I want to provide them with a high-quality education and valuable skills so that if I’m not around, they can stand on their own.”

“I want them to be respectful and kind individuals. Many financially stable people lose their wealth because life is unpredictable,” the Khaas actor added.

Mr Shahid maintained that those who focus solely on accumulating wealth and property, while neglecting to learn key life skills and values, often struggle when their financial situation changes.

“People who lack skills or education may become depressed and struggle to recover after losing their material wealth,” he observed.

Haroon stressed that parents should teach their children how to be independent and handle life's challenges, rather than simply relying on inherited wealth.
