Iqrar-ul-Hasan raises eyebrows with his third marriage

Once known for his sting operations, the well-known anchor Iqrar-ul-Hasan has shifted the spotlight from investigative journalism to his marital affairs.

Amidst lingering rumours, Iqrar-ul-Hasan's third wife, anchor Aroosa Khan, recently confirmed their marriage in an Instagram Q/A session. While Aroosa openly acknowledges their matrimony, Iqrar himself remains tight-lipped on the matter.

The revelation of Iqrar's third marriage has sparked diverse reactions on social media. Some applaud his first wife, Qurat Ul Ain Iqrar, for her patience and compassion—a departure from the common practice where women may not tolerate their spouse opting for a second marriage.

Critical viewpoints emerged on social media in response to Iqrar’s third marriage, suggesting that exploiting religious principles associated with second marriages in Islam is prpblematic. Islam does not endorse impulsive marriages but promotes thoughtful and compassionate marriages that consider the needs of vulnerable individuals, such as widows or those in need of support.

A critic pointed out Iqrar's previous statement on a show that 'marriages get old in six years.' While supporters argue that Iqrar's personal decision should be respected, emphasising that if he can maintain equality among his wives, it shouldn't be a cause for concern.

Aroosa has recently been actively promoting Qurat Ul Ain's brand, and their frequent appearances together on Aroosa's Instagram have not gone unnoticed. 

Aroosa Khan, Iqrar's third wife, is a news anchor with a diverse background, having worked on multiple platforms. 

Currently, she is associated with SA Digital, a platform overseen by Iqrar himself. Hailing from Okara, Aroosa has shared a longstanding acquaintance with Iqrar.
