Renowned actor Aagha Ali spoke about his separation from fellow actress Hina Altaf, revealing that despite having much in common, their relationship ultimately did not work out.

He emphasised the importance of valuing one’s partner and not taking them for granted in a marriage.

The actor recently appeared on a private television program, where he candidly discussed his divorce.

When asked by the host to clarify the rumors surrounding their separation, Aagha confirmed, “It has been more than a year and a half since the divorce,” but refrained from delving into details out of respect for Hina, stating, “I wish here loads of success and happiness. I would not like to talk much about it because she (Hina Altaf) is not here at the moment.”

Reflecting on their decision to get married, the Dil-e-Gumshuda actor shared, “When I married Hina Altaf, it was during the COVID-19 phase, and everyone thought the world might end soon. This thought played a role in our decision to tie the knot.”

However, he spoke about the challenges couples face in relationships, stressing that even after giving their best, if a person does not feel valued by their partner, separation might be the better choice.

Aagha revealed that he has not taken on new projects in the past eight months but has fulfilled commitments to projects he and Hina had signed together. “It is heartbreaking when a relationship fails despite your best efforts,” he said, adding that he is still navigating this challenging phase.

When asked about women leaving their marital homes, the Ishaqway star acknowledged their efforts to sustain relationships. “Women put in everything to make a relationship work, but when they feel neglected and devalued, they often take this extreme step,” he said.

He further highlighted the societal pressure women face, saying, “Parents often push their daughters away when they raise concerns about their marriage, adding that women should be empowered to make decisions about their lives.

As for his future, Aagha stated, “I think I need to become a better person first. I’m not ready to enter another relationship too soon and want to take time to grow and learn.”

He also expressed his belief that relationships require equal effort from both partners to succeed, noting, “I am self-sufficient and know how to manage on my own, but marriages cannot survive on the effort of just one person.”

Aagha Ali and Hina Altaf, who got married in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, sparked separation rumors in 2022. While the couple remained silent on the matter, Aagha recently confirmed their divorce during a podcast.
