Juggan Kazim regrets not speaking out against harassment of newcomer actresses in showbiz

Renowned host and actor Juggan Kazim recently shared her thoughts on the darker side of the entertainment industry and the challenges she faced early in her career.

Juggan recently appeared on a podcast, where she recalled her early experiences in the industry, revealing that many actors would attempt to get physically close to newcomers, with some even making bets on who would be the first to date a new girl in the industry. 

She expressed her disappointment at the behavior of married men who showed interest in these women, questioning why they behaved in such a way. 

Reflecting on her past, Juggan admitted that she should have spoken up about the situation rather than remaining silent at the time, acknowledging that staying quiet was a mistake.

Further discussing the toxic environment, Juggan explained that the media industry is often marked by insincerity. While people may appear friendly and sweet on the surface, they frequently betray one another behind closed doors.

She pointed out that the industry’s potential for growth and success could be realised if celebrities and actors set aside their jealousy and worked together rather than against each other.

Juggan also opened up about the verbal abuse she endured over the years, admitting that she had accepted insults without defending herself.

The Agar actor revealed that she often blamed herself when others looked down on her, feeling as though she deserved the mistreatment.

However, Juggan emphasised that she had always defended others in similar situations, even though she failed to stand up for herself.
