The lawyer of Amina Urooj, who has been accused of honey-trapping and abducting Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, has claimed that the writer blackmailed the woman and forced her to engage in a physical relationship with him as a condition for working on a project.
In a video circulating on social media, Amina’s lawyer divulged new details of the case, stating that his client was also a victim of abduction along with Khalil-ur-Rehman.
“He [Khalil] was blackmailing her, claiming he had objectionable videos of her and was forcing her into a physical relationship if she wanted to work in a drama,” the lawyer disclosed.
The counsel further revealed that Amina contacted some individuals for help, who advised her to call Khalil-ur-Rehman to a house where they would force him to delete the videos.
However, the individuals who arrived also abducted her and put both of them in separate cars, Urooj's counsel said.
“She was blackmailed from both sides,” he added.
Amina's lawyer maintained that his client was not involved in any crime and was held in illegal confinement for three days without any FIR.
He said that individuals in plain clothes, without any female police officials, kidnapped Amina and the Meray Pass Tum ho writer.
“It was only when the news came to light that they filed an FIR and showed the arrest of Amina,” the lawyer said.

At a press conference on Monday, the playwright confirmed that he was in contact with Urooj, stating that she convinced him to meet her to discuss a drama project.
According to the first information report (FIR), he received a call from the woman who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.
"I was sitting with the woman when someone knocked on the door, and she told me it might be a delivery boy as she had ordered some food," Qamar stated in his complaint.
The London Nahi Jaunga writer disclosed that seven armed men then entered the room and forced him to surrender his belongings, including his car keys and mobile phone.
The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical and emotional torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.
Qamar revealed in his press conference that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.
He also revealed that the woman had been “trying to convince him to meet her for the past 15 days. Eventually, I decided to go at 4:40am.”
