Controversial script writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has found himself at the center of a new controversy after alleged screenshots of him flirting with a female host on WhatsApp emerged.

The screenshots were shared by a Facebook user, named Zahir Mehmood, who claims to be a journalist, on his social media account.

Mr Mehmood, in his post, claimed that the alleged chat was between his female friend, whose identity was not revealed by the user, and the playwright.

He further claimed that the incident, which was shared in the screenshot, had taken place in his presence on August 13, 2022, at an event organised to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day.

According to the social media user, the Meray Paas Tum Ho writer was invited as a chief guest at the event, where Mehmood's friend welcomed Qamar with a song.

"Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar delivered a speech over the topic of respect for mothers and daughters and how to deal with workplace harassment... When he was leaving the ceremony, my co-host told me to take a picture with him. I couldn't resist her request, otherwise I had no desire [to pose with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar]," his post read.

"[After taking picture] Khalil Sahab started praising my friend and took her phone number, which my friend gave him out of happiness," he added.

"When I came back after announcing the next performance, my co-host showed me these two screenshots, containing a discussion between Khalil sir and my friend."

The screenshots appear to show Qamar praising the host for the song and initiating a flirtatious conversation.

During the alleged conversation, Qamar also told the host that he would give her practice for singing.

Mehmood claimed that he could prove the authenticity of the screenshots if needed, stating, "If I fail [to prove my stance], file a defamation case against me."

However, Mr Qamar has not responded or issued any statement about the alleged leaked chat.

The new controversy surrounded the London Nahi Jaunga writer a day after the case of his abduction due to an alleged honey trap surfaced.

Later, the Lahore police also confirmed that Mr Qamar was abducted and robbed after being honey-trapped by a woman, named Amina Urooj.

As per the details provided by the writer in FIR, Qamar received a call from a woman named Amina Urooj, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.

"I was sitting with the woman when someone knocked on the door, and she told me it might be a delivery boy as she had ordered some food," Qamar stated in his complaint.

He disclosed that seven armed men then entered the room and forced him to surrender his belongings, including his car keys and mobile phone.

The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical and emotional torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.
