Controversial playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has spoken out for the first time since his abduction and torture, revealing shocking details about the incident.

In a recent podcast appearance, Qamar shared that he went to meet the woman at 4:40am after performing the Fajr prayer.

"When I reached there, the lady was alone in the house, but moments after my arrival, the house bell rang, and the lady told me she had ordered a parcel," Qamar said.

"As soon as she opened the door, several people entered, who tortured me."

The playwright further revealed that the woman, who honey-trapped and kidnapped him, mentioned Pakistani actors Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar's names during their conversation.

"The woman mentioned Nauman Ejaz and Saba Qamar to confuse me and divert my attention," the Meray Pass Tum ho writer clarified.

"They have no role in the kidnapping plot," he added.

"I hate Nauman Ejaz personally, but I like him as an actor. [Similarly] I don't like Saba Qamar, but I like her as an actress and I'm a fan of her acting."

Regarding his wife's well-being after the incident, Qamar revealed that his spouse wants to say goodbye to the country.

"My wife wants to leave Pakistan because she's depressed and sad about the treatment I received, but I love the soil of my homeland and I will not leave my country," the dramatist mentioned.

The incident came to light on July 21 when the Pyary Afzal writer lodged an FIR of his abduction with the police.

Later, the Lahore police also confirmed that Mr Qamar was abducted and robbed after being honey-trapped by a woman, named Amina Urooj.

As per the details provided by the writer in FIR, the controversial figure received a call from Amina, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.

The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.

Addressing a press conference later, the playwright revealed that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.
