Mufti Qavi, known for stirring controversies, has announced plans to marry Rakhi Sawant in a nikah ceremony on February 14, stating that he has made all the necessary arrangement for the upcoming wedding. 

The scholar recernly appeared on a private TV show, where he revealed that the date was decided at the suggestion of his bride-to-be, as it was a "special day."

He emphasised that “everyone should marry once, but multiple nikkahs could be done.” He made it clear that it was his suggestion; however, any person like him “may do dozens of nikkah at one time.”

"I am excited to announce that my nikkah with Rakhi Sawant will take place on February 14. Rakhi chose this date as it is a special day,” he claimed.

Furthermore, Mufti Qavi expressed optimism about transforming Rakhi Sawant in accordance with the tradition, claiming that “following nikkah, the actress will be spotted in the conventional and Islamic dress.” 

However, he also expressed his intention to change after their marriage.

On February 3, Mufti Qavi had revealed his interest in marrying a Bollywood actress after the host reminded him that the actress had previously expressed a desire to wed a Pakistani Islamic scholar and had recently performed Umrah.

Mufti Qavi claimed to have had a video call with Rakhi's father, who praised him. Additionally, his mother was also ready for his nikkah with the Bollywood star.

Qavi stated, “I am willing to marry her, but there is one condition, I must ask my mother.”

Later, Mufti Qavi and Rakhi Sawant released several videos for each other, which went viral in Pakistan and India.
