Muneeb Butt wishes to live in Madina after retirement

Pakistani actor Muneed Butt has expressed his desire to live in the holy city of Madina Munawara in Saudi Arabia after getting retirement from his showbiz work.

Recently the Baandi star appeared in a podcast, Foot Prints, hosted by Hina Altaf and Syed Ali, where he talked about several things, including his post-retirement plans.

During the show, the host asked Muneeb in which country he would love to live in after retirement.

In response, the Ghairat star insisted on living in Karachi, where he is currently residing with his family.

"There is no better place for me than Karachi because I was born here and spent my childhood. You can visit a place for one to two months but after that, you start missing your city," he said.

"Once I thought of settling outside Karachi but I couldn't because I didn't want to go, first of all, I can't live without my parents because they need us in old age," actress Aiman Khan's husband added.

But, when the host insisted on answering the question, Muneeb said that he would choose Madina for residence post-retirement.

"[...] I wish to go to Madina. When we arrive in Madina, there is different spirituality everywhere. The people there are so kind and cheerful that everything feels good, the atmosphere, the infrastructure there is so perfect that if I get a chance, I would like to go to Madina and spend my life [there] after retirement," he answered.

The actor also shared an anecdote of his mother regarding living in the holy Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) city.

"My mother is strongly against settling in any other place than Karachi, but when we came back from Umrah, my mother said that I am ready to go and live in Madina," Butt concluded.
