Investigators probing the death of model and actor Humaira Asghar Ali have recovered data from her electronic devices, police officials said, as efforts are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
The actress, who had been living alone, was found dead in her apartment in Ittehad Commercial area of Defence Phase VI on July 8. Her body was found by a court bailiff who, accompanied by police, arrived to enforce an eviction order over unpaid rent following legal proceedings initiated by the property owner.
Officials familiar with the investigation said that police accessed three mobile phones, a tablet, and a laptop belonging to the deceased. The devices were unlocked using passwords found in a personal diary recovered from the apartment, where her body was discovered in a decomposed state.
So far, two individuals have recorded their statements, and two others have been summoned for questioning.
Authorities said that Asghar was known to visit a gym and a beauty salon regularly, and her trainer along with other close contacts will be approached to reconstruct her final days.
Investigators have also reviewed her bank accounts, transaction history, and communication records.
According to officials, the limited number of contacts in her phone suggests she maintained a small, close-knit social circle.
Police added that no immediate evidence of foul play was found at the scene. The cause of death will be confirmed following the results of the post-mortem and chemical examination reports.
A case will be formally registered based on the findings of those reports, officials stated.
