“Rumours only spread because I'm not married:” Hania on dating buzz with Badshah

Renowned actress Hania Aamir spoke for the first time about her bond with Indian rapper Badshah. 

She addressed the relationship rumors that swirled on social media following their online interactions and their meetups in Dubai.

The social media-savvy actress said that these dating rumors only spread because “she is not married.”

In an interview with the BBC Asian Network, Hania Aamir spoke candidly about her craft, her flourishing popularity in India, and the connections she has formed with fellow Indian celebrities.

When the host asked about her relationship with Baadshah, she initially tried to sidestep the question by calling it a personal issue. But the host reminded her that being a public figure comes with a certain level of exposure.

The Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha actor revealed that the Naina singer commented on her Instagram post. A friend then told her about the comment. He sent her a message and they eventually became good friends.

"Badshah is a great friend. He is such a nice, simple human being, so different from his Badshah persona in real life. That's what I find we have in common," she clarified

"If I don't post, he inquires why I'm not posting and what happened," the Dilruba starlet added.

She agreed with the host that media outlets often take friendly interactions, like online comments and social gatherings, and turn them into full-blown relationship rumors, which she finds frustrating.

"My only issue is that I am not married," she said. "If I were married, I feel like I might avoid all of these rumors."

Dating rumors surrounding Hania and Badshah emerged in 2023 after their meetup in Dubai. The two shared photos on social media that quickly went viral, further fueling speculation about their relationship status.
