Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan’s medical team told the media that the actor is not in a life-threatening situation but remains under observation in the ICU. Khan sustained injuries after being stabbed during a burglary at his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra.

Dr Nitin Dange revealed that Khan suffered two deep wounds and underwent neurosurgery as well as plastic surgery. The actor is in a stable condition, and his progress will be reassessed after 24 hours.

The neurosurgeon added that while the actor’s injuries were serious, his life is no longer at risk.

In addition to Saif Ali Khan, a female staff member at the residence was also injured during the burglary. She is reported to be in stable condition as well.

Saif Ali Khan underwent surgeries and is currently receiving further medical treatment at the hospital.

The incident reportedly occurred at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra in the early hours of Thursday, around 2:30 am, when an intruder entered Khan’s home. The actor engaged in a scuffle to prevent the burglary, during which he was stabbed.

"Saif has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the wounds is dangerously close to his spine," said Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital.

The Hindustan Times reported that Khan suffered multiple injuries over his body. However, his back is stable following surgery, and he is able to move his hands and legs. His condition remains stable.

As of now, no suspects have been arrested, and police investigations are ongoing.

Several Indian media outlets confirmed that Kareena was at home with their children, Taimur and Jeh, when the incident occurred.
