Renowned actress Sajal Aly is set to be honoured with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz at a ceremony on Pakistan Day, March 23rd at the Governor's House in Lahore.

The coveted civilian award celebrates the achievements of individuals who have made exceptional contributions to their fields and brought national acclaim.

The prestigious ceremony will be held to award civil honors to several distinguished individuals. The event is expected to be attended by prominent figures, including government officials and dignitaries.

In an interview with a daily newspaper, the 'Kuch Ankahi' actor expressed her delight at receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

"It’s a great honour for me to receive this prestigious recognition. It feels like just yesterday I had entered the industry and to be honest, it feels surreal. I am grateful to my fraternity, fans and family for their constant support," she said. 

Sajal's acting prowess has extended beyond her home industry, captivating audiences in Bollywood, including the British film scene. 

The 'Chup Raho' star made her Bollywood debut alongside the legendary actor Sridevi in the critically-acclaimed film "Mom." The movie's box office success solidified her talent on the Indian stage.

She recently ventured into English-language films with a pivotal role in the British romantic comedy "What's Love Got to Do With It?", produced by Jemima Khan and directed by Shekhar Kapur.
