Actor Mishi Khan criticized The Young Stunners rapper Talha Anjum for waving the Indian flag during his concert in Nepal. The video of the performance went viral and drew ire on social media.

Responding sharply to Talha Anjum’s actions, Mishi Khan said, “Weren’t you ashamed? You could have made any excuse, saying you would do it later and then ignored it, but you chose to wave it and wrap it around your neck.”

She added, “If an Indian artist did something like this, the government and citizens would react so strongly that their artist wouldn’t even think of doing it.”

Khan further commented, “It’s good to promote peace, but there’s no reason to wave another country’s flag. Shame on you! Your attitude toward your own country is ridiculous.” She concluded, “At least learn from others how they respect and honor their own country.”

Amid the mounting backlash, Talha Anjum issued a statement, making it clear that he would not bow to criticism.

Taking to X, he wrote: “My heart has no place for hate. My art has no borders. If me raising an Indian flag sparks controversy, so be it. I’ll do it again. I will never care about the media, the war-mongering governments, and their propaganda. Urdu rap is and will always be borderless.”

The debate continues online, with many questioning whether the gesture was appropriate given India’s repeated threats against Pakistan.

While Anjum described the act as an attempt to connect with a diverse audience and make them feel included, critics claim it was merely an effort to expand his fanbase and gain more attention.
