TikToker Hareem Shah begins political career in UK

Pakistani TikTok sensation Hareem Shah has begun her political career in the United Kingdom (UK) as she confirmed joining one of the country's major political parties. 

In an interview with a private news channel, Shah revealed that she was invited to join the party by a senior leader. 

The controversial figure said she has also planned to contest elections to be a part of the British Parliament in the near future.

Shah remained tight-lipped about the party she has joined but confirmed that it is one of the most prominent political groups in the UK. 

She claims that the party approached her because of her immense popularity and influence.

"These parties need young and popular influencers. They approached me because I am in Google’s top search rankings. I am popular. I am also among the world’s most searched people," she said.

“I am lucky that I have been approached like this. I will win elections through free and fair means. I will raise my voice for Pakistan. I am already working for human rights.”

Earlier, Shah was provided police protection by Scotland Yard after she complained of receiving threats from some people.

Hareem moved to London more than a year ago and has not returned to the country ever since.
