UK lawyer clarifies Rajab Butt was neither banned nor deported, says return to Pakistan was voluntary

Lawyer Muhammad Ahmad, of Central Chambers Law in the UK, has clarified that Pakistani content creator Rajab Butt has not been banned or deported by UK authorities, debunking rumors being spread on social media.

Speaking about his case, Muhammad Ahmad said that Rajab Butt travelled back to Pakistan by choice in order to meet his family, in addition to fulfilling some requirements in the city of Lahore.

According to his attorney, Rajab Butt was advised by his attorney in the city of Lahore, Advocate Mian Asghar, to come back to Pakistan and hand in his passport to the courts in the city of Lahore.

Rajab's UK lawyer clarified that "The visa was canceled because of a technicality; unresolved cases were not included when applying for a visa. This was an innocent mistake by a visa application agent and not actually an intent to deceive by Rajab.”

Muhammad Ahmad also explained that Rajab decided to go back to Pakistan by himself without any legal option being placed before him.Rajab did not wnated to breach the orders of the court of law in the city of Lahore to produce the passport in seven days. He also wanted to meet his son and his family.
