Iranian FM Abbas Araghchi to hold high-level talks with President Putin in Moscow

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced plans to visit Moscow for high-level consultations with Russian leadership amid escalating regional tensions.

Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul on Sunday, Araghchi confirmed that he is scheduled to arrive in Moscow on Monday for a series of diplomatic engagements.

Highlighting the significance of the visit, he said that a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is also part of his agenda.

Araghchi emphasized that the talks in Moscow will focus on the ongoing crisis following recent Israeli and U.S. military actions on Iranian territory.

The visit underscores Tehran’s efforts to coordinate with key allies as regional tensions continue to rise.

Earlier,  Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had condemned the United States’ "brutal military aggression against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities", describing it "a grave and unprecedented violation of the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations and the international law".

"The war-mongering and lawless regime of the United States of America is held fully responsible for the dangerous consequences and far-reaching implications of this egregious act of aggression and heinous crime," it said in a statement.

"The US military aggression against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of a UN member state—carried out in collusion with the genocidal Israeli regime—once again laid bare the depth of depravity that governs American foreign policy and revealed the extent of hostility harbored by the US ruling establishment against the peace-seeking and independence-loving people of Iran."
