NDMA dispatches additional relief supplies to flood-hit areas of Punjab

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched additional relief supplied to flood affected areas of Punjab.
It has provided an additional five thousand tents to Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) for the flood victims in Muzaffargarh.
NDMA has dispatched eleven hundred tents from Sukkur to Muzaffargarh via eight trucks.
Additionally, two convoys consisting of sixteen and fifteen trucks respectively have been sent from Jalozai, carrying 3,900 tents for Muzaffargarh.
So far, 2,215 tons of relief goods have been provided to Punjab, including blankets, tents, mosquito nets, water filtration plants, quilts, folding beds, water cans and 17 boats.
NDMA has so far provided a total of 35,000 tents for flood-affected people in Punjab.
Meanwhile, the water flow is normalizing in rivers of Punjab.
Director General Punjab Disaster Management Authority Irfan Ali Kathia in a statement said there is a high level flood at Panjnad.
In the River Sutlej, there is medium flood while water level is normal in the River Chenab and Ravi.
He said that all departments are on alert and all available resources are being utilized for protection of lives and properties of citizens.
