The United States dispatched urgent relief assistance to Pakistan as the country reels from devastating floods that have displaced thousands and destroyed homes and livelihoods.

According to the US State Department, food, shelter materials, and other life-saving items are being provided to flood-affected communities.

Essential supplies were delivered to the Pakistani military through US Air Force C-17 and C-130 aircraft, which landed at Nur Khan Air Base.

Natalie Baker, Charge d’Affaires of the US Mission in Pakistan, was present at the delivery.
