US sends relief items for Pakistan flood victims

The United States dispatched urgent relief assistance to Pakistan as the country reels from devastating floods that have displaced thousands and destroyed homes and livelihoods.
According to the US State Department, food, shelter materials, and other life-saving items are being provided to flood-affected communities.
Essential supplies were delivered to the Pakistani military through US Air Force C-17 and C-130 aircraft, which landed at Nur Khan Air Base.
Natalie Baker, Charge d’Affaires of the US Mission in Pakistan, was present at the delivery.

She expressed condolences over the loss of lives and widespread destruction, stating: “The United States is deeply saddened by the loss of life and the destruction of homes and economic resources due to the floods. We stand with the Pakistani people in this difficult time.”
Baker further confirmed that the US Department of State and the US military have approved external assistance at the request of the Government of Pakistan.
The support aims to strengthen ongoing national relief and rescue operations in the hardest-hit areas.
