Video of US President Biden discussing Gaza ceasefire while eating ice cream sparks outrage

A video of US President Joe Biden giving his stance over a ceasefire in Israel’s war on Palestine’s Gaza while eating ice cream went viral on social media, drawing criticism from the netizens.

In a viral video, US President said that he hopes to have a cease-fire in Gaza by the end of next Monday as negotiations are underway.

Biden's comment came on Monday when he was eating ice cream at a shop, reported Time Magazine.

“Well, I hope by the beginning of the weekend, by the end of the weekend,” he responded to the reporters.

“My security advisor has told me that we are close, we are not yet done. My hope is, by next Monday, we will reach the ceasefire,” he added.

The ceasefire, however, was a serious matter, as hundreds of thousands of children in the warfare country lost their parents, and have been facing famine for weeks. 

But, Biden's casual style over the serious issue not went well with netizens.

The Palestine-Israel clash began on October 7, 2023, and has claimed the lives of over 30,000 people including women and children.
