Property tycoon Malik Riaz has cautioned that Bahria Town’s essential services could face imminent shutdown, citing extensive freezing of bank accounts, properties, and other assets by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The crackdown has intensified following multiple corruption cases and land-use allegations brought against him.

Riaz shared an update about the future of services amid NAB crackdown. In his message, Malik Riaz thanked the masses for their patience during the tough times and added that they are running out of resources due to seizure of assets.

He said thousands of employees are working with the Bahria Town and the are unable to dispense the salaries to them.

He hoped that state institutions would resolve the issue on merit to ensure the livelihood of the employees.

Numerous commercial and residential properties owned by Bahria Town across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Takht Pari, and New Murree/Golf City have been sealed or frozen.
