10-year-old Pakistani boy grabs 'fourth' position in int'l Quran recitation contest

A 10-year-old Pakistani boy, named Muhammad Bashar, has brought honour to the country by winning the fourth position in an international Quran recitation competition held in Algeria.
The contest, named "Mazamir Dawood", took place from August 18 to 31 and featured participants from over 15 countries.
Pakistani young Quran reciter from Swat earned a $1,500 prize after achieving the fourth position in the contest.
The annual event, hosted by Algerian private media outlet Echorouk, showcases the talents of young Quran reciters from around the world.
The international contest is also organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments of Algeria under the patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Bashar's participation and achievement have further strengthened the bonds between Pakistan and Algeria.
