Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Junaid Akbar Khan recently revealed that three MNAs have met with the Speaker of the National Assembly to express their inability to pay their electricity bills with their current salaries.

Junaid Akbar made this claim while talking on a private TV show.

According to PTI lawmaker, MNA's monthly salary is 122,000 rupees. It is worth noting that people across the country, including Karachi, are being burdened with hefty taxes along with their electricity bills.

The statement highlights the financial strain faced by even elected representatives, reflecting the broader economic challenges and the rising cost of living in the country.

The issue of high electricity bills, exacerbated by significant taxes, has become a major concern for citizens and lawmakers alike.
