4 injured in gas leak blast at Islamabad's Numl

At least four people were hurt in an explosion seemingly caused by gas leakage at National University of Modern Languages (Numl) in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The Islamabad police said that the blast is believed to have been caused by gas leak. They said that four people were injured and have been shifted to hospital for medical attention, adding that the fire brigade put out the fire.
Footage from the scene showed panicked students rushing out of the campus while rescue teams worked to control the fire inside one of the rooms.
Onlookers were also seen assisting an injured individual lying on the ground.
Numl, previously known as the National Institute of Modern Languages, was granted university status in 2002 and offers academic programmes from the undergraduate to doctoral level.
