A recent survey has found that 69 percent of Pakistani daughters-in-law are happy with their mother-in-law and describe their relationship as "strong".

The survey, conducted by Gallup Pakistan, revealed interesting insights into the dynamics of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationships in the country.

According to the survey, 11 percent of women reported a weak relationship with their mother-in-law.

14 percent of respondents remained neutral in the survey, saying that the relationship was neither strong nor weak.

The survey also highlighted demographic variations in the responses.

Rural women and those under 30 years old were more likely to report a strong relationship with their mother-in-law.

72 percent of rural daughters-in-law and 64 percent of urban respondents described the relationship as strong.

In the survey, 80 percent of daughters-in-law under 30 years old reported an ideal relationship with their mother-in-law, while 50 percent of those above 50 years old reported a weak relationship.

Furthermore, 52 percent of Pakistanis overall believed that the mother-in-law relationship in the country is strong, while 27 percent thought it was weak, and 19 percent found it difficult to express an opinion.
