The minor son of Dr Shahnawaz Kunbhar, a blasphemy suspect who was killed in a fake police encounter in Mirpurkhas, is fighting for his life due to a severe heart condition, suffering from a hole in the heart.

His father's tragic death in a fake police encounter in Sindhri on September 18 has made his treatment even more challenging.

Before his death, Dr Kunbhar was making arrangements to take his son Shah Zain abroad for treatment.

However, those plans now remain incomplete, leaving the family worried about the 9-year-old's future.

Muhammad Saleh, Dr Kunbhar's father, is currently taking care of Shah Zain at home.

The family is struggling to cope with the loss of their beloved Dr Kunbhar.

The slain medical professional also had dreams of his sister's marriage that will now remain unfulfilled.

It is worth noting that the Umerkot doctor was killed in a staged police encounter in Mirpurkhas, a day after a blasphemy case was registered against him.

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar confirmed the encounter was fake.

The family's priority now is Shah Zain's health, and they hope to find a way to secure the necessary treatment for his life-threatening condition.
