Achakzai congratulates Zardari, says first time in the country's history vote was not purchased

PkMAP Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai congratulating Asif Ali Zardari for winning the presidential elections, said that for the first time in the nation's history, the presidential elections witnessed no vote-buying.
Addressing the media in Islamabad, Achakzai said JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman should have supported their cause by casting his vote for them. He noted that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman's vote in their favor would have been appreciated.
The presidential candidate also highlighted Akhtar Mengal's commitment, mentioning that despite plans to travel to Dubai, Mengal opted to remain in the country to participate in the presidential elections.
Achakzai stressed the significance of consensus among allies, emphasizing that the time calls for collective agreement.
Questioning the approach of resorting to the court in parliamentary matters, Achakzai advocated for holding the presidential elections with consensus for a smoother process.
He expressed bewilderment regarding Dr. Malik's abstention from voting, stating that Dr. Malik had initially shown willingness to participate.
Regarding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Achakzai acknowledged the support received from PTI's supporters, extending gratitude to the party. Additionally, he congratulated PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on his presidency for the 14th term.
