Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai opposed a resolution against India in the National Assembly of Pakistan.

The resolution, related to an amendment to the Indian Constitution, was presented on Tuesday and passed with a majority vote.

Achakzai highlighted the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers for the constitution and parliament, asserting that they would not allow the House to continue on its current path. He opposed the resolution concerning Kashmir, expressing a desire to amend it.

Achakzai stated that his party has always supported freedom movements and emphasized that Kashmiris should be consulted about their future.

He questioned the arrest of assembly member Haji Imtiaz and criticized the Speaker for not producing the missing member.

In response, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq remarked, "you have called me havaldar. Havaldar is the first line of defence." He further stated that while opposition to the resolution is permissible, it should not be addressed in such a manner.
