Aseefa Bhutto Zardari is likely to mark her entry into politics by contesting by-polls from NA-196. She would compete in the elections from Qambar Shahdadkot, a constituency once won by her mother Benazir Bhutto.
The sources in the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) said that party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will vacate the seat of NA-196 and keep hold of NA-194 of Larkana.
However, the stalwarts in the party decided that Bilawal's sibling would contest by-elections from NA-196.
The former foreign minister secured two seats in the February 8 polls and has decided to hold the National Assembly’s seat NA-194 of Larkana and vacate NA-196 of Qambar Shahdadkot.
However, Aseefa was seen as very active during the entire election campaign of her brother, addressed masses alongside Bilawal, and urged masses to vote for her brother.
Aseefa had pointed out the absence of other political parties when the country was facing devastating floods in 2022. She said that her brother Zardari stood by flood victims when others did not.
