Renowned Pakistani singer Adnan Sami, now residing in India, expressed his love for his homeland, stating that he could never forget it.

While responding to the comment on the Instagram post, Sami turned some bother and reminded that he has not forgotten the country.

Popular Singer Adnan Sami, who gave up his Pakistan citizenship in 2016 and acquired Indian nationality, shared a throwback picture with renowned classical vocalist Abida Parveen. A commenter inquired about leaving Pakistan and said: “Yaad Agaya Pakistan,” which translates as “Now you a remembered Pakistan?”

Sami replied, somewhat annoyed, emphasizing that he had not forgotten his country. He stated, “When did I ever forget my country? These are wrong thoughts of people. My family still lives there, understand?”

“Bhoola kab tha chotay? Ye tumary dimagh main aisi zaleel baatein ghalti hain, mere family waheen rehti hay samjhy?”

Earlier, in his conversation with Humans of Bombay, Sami spoke about the flak he drew for his decision to move to India, saying people came up with their own explanations, some Pakistanis going as far as saying, “Oh, he has chosen India because he’s making more money over there.”

“Excuse me, do you have any idea what my family background is?” asked Sami. “Do you have any idea that money has never been a problem in my life? I have been blessed to have been born and brought up in a very well-to-do, wealthy family,” he said.
